Celebrating Fiesta in the Barangay

Fiesta Celebration in the barangay is always coupled with "salu-salu" kumbira, or "hikay" The photos shown above manifest the preparation being made by the local residents.They slaughtered nine pigs which is to be equally divided by the members of the group. Monthly contributions are expected from the members of the team. They conduct regular meetings to update their accounts. Some of them relend the money to the members of the organization to generate additional income. We commonly called this organization as "bubo" or "bugso" These gestures are manifestations of unity and oneness in the annual fiesta in honor to the the local patron saint.
